Pioneer Investments, founding sponsor of Roberto Bazzoni Onlus – United States, Inc., proudly sponsors the 5th Annual Roberto Bazzoni Onlus Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 27, 2007 at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Massachusetts. All proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the Luisa Guidotti Hospital in Mutoko, Zimbabwe—a hospital for children with AIDS.
“We’re thrilled to be marking this milestone of our fifth Charity Golf Tournament along with reaching the $1 million mark of funds given to the hospital. This is our annual golf event to help save children,” states John F. Cogan, Jr., President of the Bazzoni Onlus.
“The fundraising tournament is vital to the success of our mission and we have many loyal and generous supporters who have participated in our golf event from its inception,” adds Richard Sardelli, SVP Strategic Marketing at Pioneer Investments.
Every year the event sells out.
The tournament will feature 144 golfers in a shotgun start, best ball of four, and low net 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Cocktails, silent auction, dinner, and awards follow. Indian Pond Country Club (www.indianpondcountryclub.com) is a private golf club surrounded by wooded conservation lands and a community of homes known as Indian Pond Estates. This 18-hole championship course measures almost 6,800 yards. The 52,000 square foot clubhouse includes the pro shop, a golfer’s lounge, a 400-seat ballroom, as well as Blackstones Restaurant.
Richard Sardelli is Tournament Director assisted by Vincent Sestito and Jennifer O’Neill.
Donations are being accepted for the silent auction of golf foursomes, sport event tickets and vacation condos to raise additional proceeds for the hospital. If anyone would like to donate, please contact Susan Bullock, Director of Community Relations.
The Roberto Bazzoni Onlus – United States, Inc. was founded in September 2001 to honor Roberto Bazzoni, eldest son of Sebastiano Bazzoni, a Pioneer Dublin executive. Roberto, an orthopedic technician, perished in a plane crash while on a United Nations-sponsored humanitarian mission in 1999. He was on his way to Kosovo to assist those who had lost their limbs due to land mines and other war accidents.
The Onlus, along with an Onlus in both Dublin and Milan, receives support from the UniCredito Italiano S.p.A. Banking Group.
Please see our Invitation and the Response Card for the event.
