Roberto Bazzoni & Antonio Sircana Hospital in Yakamba
Please see a full update on the activities of this Hospital, whose operating theatre was inaugurated on 15 October 2005.
Over its 18 months of existence, the highlights are:
- 450 patients accepted on a monthly basis; 5% of them requires surgery.
- 450 operations performed up to the end of June 2007
- 100 pregnant women are assisted each month with their children, who receive vaccinations
- a unit specialized in treating the trypanosomiasis has been established
- a sanatorium sector takes care of patients affected by TBC and leprosy, illnesses which are constantly regressing thanks to the ongoing cares.
