Burning tracks for the Charity at the Pioneer Investments Summer Barbeque!

Over €2,000 was raised at the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus Charity Fun Run held at the Pioneer Summer BBQ - Wanderers Rugby Club on Sunday 25 July 2004.
Blink and you would have missed the Pioneer Road-Runners burning a path around the track at Wanderers Rugby Club on Sunday 25^th July. The Pioneer Investments Social Club collaborated with the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus this year and combined a day of wholesome good fun with a bit of hard work and more good fun for a good cause. The competition was mighty (but all in good spirit) at the 4km Relay Race. The CatchMeIfYouCan team (Marco Motta, Cosimo Marasciulo, Giuseppina Marinotti & Daniele Fox) were certainly not caught and took the RBO Fun Run Trophy home with them. They then caused havoc with the water guns won for raising the most sponsorship! The REDS team (Alessandra Pasquoni, JooHee Lee, Giovanni Tinella & Angelos Athanasopoulos) took home a set of skipping ropes for coming in last and were told to go off and train better for next year. The Three-Legged Race involved the big kids and the little kids waddling and tripping their way to the finish line.

The BBQ and beer which followed was just what was needed to replenish energy levels before the bouncing castles and bungee-trampoline contraptions could be attacked. It was an exhausting day which provided over €2,000 to the charity and left big smiles, ruddy cheeks and tired bones. Click here to see more photos...
