The 6th Annual Roberto Bazzoni Onlus Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Massachusetts. All proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the Luisa Guidotti Hospital in Mutoko, Zimbabwe—a hospital for children with AIDS.

“Our charity golf tournament is fundamental to the success of the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus,” stated Daniel Kingsbury, President of the Onlus. “Since we started the tournament in 2002, we have given the hospital medicines and supplies thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and golfers.”

“We are thankful to the teamwork of everyone at Pioneer for making this happen,” he added.

“We are deeply committed to furthering our support of the patients at the Luisa Guidotti Hospital,” added Richard Sardelli, SVP Marketing Communications and Tournament Director. “It is a privilege to organize this tournament every year knowing the difference that it makes.”

Every year the event sells out.

The tournament will feature 144 golfers in a shotgun start, best ball of four, and low net 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Cocktails, silent auction, dinner, and awards follow. Indian Pond Country Club (www.indianpondcountryclub.com) is a private golf club surrounded by wooded conservation lands and a community of homes known as Indian Pond Estates. This 18-hole championship course measures almost 6,800 yards. The 52,000 square foot clubhouse includes the pro shop, a golfer’s lounge, a 400-seat ballroom, as well as Blackstones Restaurant.

Richard Sardelli is assisted by Vincent Sestito and Leila Amerling. Volunteers at the tournament are Leila Amerling, Sahar Alavi, Charlyn Copp, Christine Fuchs, Ashlee Nantoski, Jenn O’Neill, and Allen Wong, all of Pioneer Investments.

Donations are being accepted for the silent auction of golf foursomes, sport event tickets and vacation condos to raise additional proceeds for the hospital. If anyone would like to donate, please contact Susan Bullock, Director of Community Relations, Pioneer Investments.

The Roberto Bazzoni Onlus – United States, Inc. was founded in September 2001 to honor Roberto Bazzoni, eldest son of Sebastiano Bazzoni, a Pioneer Dublin executive. Roberto, an orthopedic technician, perished in a plane crash while on a United Nations-sponsored humanitarian mission in 1999. He was on his way to Kosovo to assist those who had lost their limbs due to land mines and other war accidents.

The Onlus also is based in both Dublin and Milan.
