| The Rotary Club of Dublin makes substantial donation to the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus |
2005 marks the Centenary of the foundation of the Rotary Movement by Paul Harris.
To mark this milestone the Rotary Club of Dublin decided to host a special evening, in aid of a worthy cause. The Roberto Bazzoni Onlus was the worthy cause the Rotary club chose to support.
The Gala Night at the Gaiety was held on 15 April 2005, with The Rathmines & Rathgar Musical Society performing Lerner & Loewe’s musical, “Gigi”. With Champagne interval and After Show Supper including a private performance by the Gigi cast for Rotary Members and Friends, it was a great success!
€14,579.00 was raised and donated to the Roberto Bazzoni Onlus. This generous sum will be used to buy a much needed 18 seater vehicle which will be used to transport sick patients from their marginalised township outside Harare, to their treatment centre - A vital cog in the RBO campaign against AIDS in Zimbabwe.
